China's Electronics Manufacturing Sector Sees Revenue and Profit Gains
China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reports a 21% increase in electronics manufacturing revenue to 14.9 trillion yuan for the first three quarters of 2026.

The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) reported that the electronics manufacturing sector achieved a total revenue of 14.9 trillion yuan through September 2026, marking a 21% year-over-year increase. Most notably, the sector's total profit doubled during this period, reaching 985.2 billion yuan.
Production output accelerated, with integrated circuit production rising by 23.3% and electronic components by 14.7%. Export delivery values also maintained an upward trajectory, led by a 26.4% rise in lithium-ion battery exports and a 7.4% increase in home appliance shipments. Furthermore, fixed-asset investment in the industry grew by 9.6%.
Regional data revealed significant disparities in performance. Central China experienced the most rapid growth, with revenue surging 48.5%, while the Northeast region saw a slight decline of 0.3%. The figures reflect a sector driven by high domestic output and recovering global demand, despite uneven regional development.
