China's national esports team secured a silver medal in the "Game for Peace" event at the 20th Asian Games. The competition concluded with a narrow margin after two days of play.
China's national esports team has won a silver medal in the "Game for Peace" (Peacekeeper Elite) event at the 20th Asian Games held in Hangzhou. The team accumulated a total of 114 points, falling short by just 14 points of the gold medal won by Thailand.
The competition spanned two days, featuring 12 matches with alternating "Erangel" and "Miramar" maps within the "Game for Peace" title. Points were awarded based on final placement and eliminations.
China started the tournament strongly on the first day, building points through coordinated gameplay. However, on the second day, the team was unable to overtake Thailand, which clinched the gold medal with 128 points. Pakistan secured the bronze medal with 100 points.
The silver-medal winning Chinese team consisted of players Liu Jinshan, Li Haokui, He Jianghong, Chen Yumeng, and He Ruibo. The coaching staff included Li Yang, Ma Dengyue, Zhou Likun, and Ju Mingyuan.
