China's nuclear power industry has announced the successful deployment of its first fully domestic industrial internet platform, named 'Longbi'. Developed by CNNC Control, a subsidiary of the Nuclear Power Research Institute under China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), the platform aims to provide a foundation for the digital transformation of the sector.
The,'Longbi' platform is presented as China's first domestic industrial internet solution tailored for the high-security demands of the nuclear industry. It reportedly achieves 100% domestic sourcing for all components, from underlying chips and operating systems to database software and upper-level industrial applications. This development is intended to overcome critical bottlenecks hindering the digital and intelligent advancement of China's nuclear industry and address shortfalls in key technologies vital for national energy security.
Positioned as the digital central nervous system for the nuclear industry, the Longbi platform utilizes an open architecture integrating cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence. It is designed for native, seamless integration with China's indigenous龙鳍 (Longqi) and 龙核 (Longhe) DCS systems, while also supporting a wide range of industrial equipment and sensors. The platform offers end-to-end data acquisition, real-time analysis, intelligent decision-making, and integrated security capabilities, applicable across the entire nuclear industry value chain, including nuclear power, fuel, chemicals, and technology applications.
Prior to its market release, the Longbi platform served as the core technological base for China's first national-level intelligent manufacturing pilot project in the nuclear sector, focusing on a 'transparent factory' for DCS equipment. Real-world operational tests reportedly show a 50% improvement in software engineering design efficiency and a 20% increase in testing execution efficiency, alongside full process traceability and 100% compliance auditing.
