China's Home Router Market Sees Average Price Increase in May 2026
Sales volume for home routers in China decreased by 8.8% in May 2026, but the average selling price rose by 2.2% to 255.4 yuan due to adoption of newer technologies.

The online market for home routers in China experienced a 8.8% year-on-year decrease in sales volume in May 2026, reaching 872,000 units. Sales revenue also saw a 6.7% decline, totaling 220 million yuan, according to data from 洛图科技 (RUNTO).
Despite the overall sales drop, the average retail price for home routers online increased by 2.2% to 255.4 yuan in May 2026, marking a significant month-on-month rise. This increase is attributed to the growing consumer preference for routers equipped with advanced features such as Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7, and multi-gigabit ports, indicating a trend towards higher performance and more stable home networking solutions.
The market share of the top four brands, including Huawei, Xiaomi, Puliian, and ZTE, collectively accounted for 84.3% of total sales volume. Huawei maintained its leading position with a 27.6% market share, driven by strong sales of its AX3 Pro and BE3 Pro models, which performed well in mid-to-high price segments. Xiaomi secured the second position with a 20.7% share, notable for its AX3000T model being the top seller.
Puliian held an 18.7% market share, offering a comprehensive range of Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 devices. ZTE saw an increase in both sales volume and revenue share. The data suggests a market segmentation where brands like Asus and Ruijie focus on performance-oriented or enthusiast segments, reinforcing the trend towards tiered offerings based on specifications and use cases.
