Chinese technology publication IT Home reports that the social media platform Xiaohongshu is currently testing a new feature named 'Post Daily' (发日常). According to the report, the new function will allow users to share updates that are visible for only three days, similar to the 'Moments' feature on WeChat.

The new feature is reportedly being tested with a select group of internal users. Upon publishing, users will see options for 'Post Note' and 'Post Daily'. Posts made using 'Post Daily' will automatically be hidden from the user's profile page after three days but can be converted into permanent 'notes' later. This separates daily updates from the platform's other content.

In addition to the three-day visibility, the 'Post Daily' feature also supports various privacy settings, such as 'visible to followers only' and 'custom group'. Currently, the function only applies to new posts, with no option to batch-set existing notes to three-day visibility.

As of May 2026, Xiaohongshu had over 170 million daily active users and more than 400 million monthly active users, indicating the platform's significant reach and engagement in the Chinese market.
