China's IT Home reports that the global expansion of computing power, data centers, and terminal devices is driving significant growth in Chinese electricity equipment exports. Overseas markets have seen a substantial increase in demand for transformers and prefabricated substations.

In Oman, a 400 kV prefabricated substation has been successfully energized. This station comprises four integrated, functionally independent, and system-coordinated prefabricated units, assembled from 24 standardized functional modules. Designed, produced, and commissioned in China, these modules were transported to Oman and assembled on-site like building blocks, drastically reducing construction time compared to traditional on-site civil engineering.

According to the company, the entire process for these prefabricated units, from order to commissioning, took less than six months. This is a significant reduction from the 1.5 to 2 years typically required for conventional substation construction. The company reported a 30% year-on-year increase in overseas project deliveries during the first half of the year.

The booming market is attributed to two key factors: the increased demand for electrical equipment driven by the construction of data centers and computing centers, and the company's strategy of establishing regional standards and promoting international recognition. This "technology export" approach has expanded its competitive advantage. Companies anticipate cost savings and faster delivery times for international clients through mutual standard recognition and targeted modifications, potentially reducing adaptation periods to under three months and saving tens of millions of yuan annually.
