China's tablet market shipments declined 4.4% year-over-year in the second quarter to 7.96 million units. Commercial demand saw significant growth, while consumer demand weakened.

China's tablet market saw shipments fall 4.4% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026, reaching 7.96 million units. Despite the overall decline, shipments for commercial tablets surged by 67.1%, while consumer tablet shipments decreased by 9.8%.
Huawei led the market in shipment volume, followed by Apple and Lenovo. Xiaomi and Honor secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The growth in the commercial segment was partly driven by early procurement ahead of anticipated price increases. The consumer segment continued to be impacted by higher costs and weaker demand, negatively affecting sales.
