China's Vehicle Exports Surge 57.5% in July 2026

China's total vehicle exports experienced significant growth in July 2026, reaching 1.092 million units, as reported by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). This figure represents a substantial year-on-year increase of 57.5%. The corresponding export value for the month climbed to $18.98 billion, marking a 60.4% rise compared to the same period last year.

The data, sourced from the General Administration of Customs, also indicated month-on-month growth. Vehicle exports increased by 2.2% from June to July 2026, with the total export value rising by 4.1% over the same period.

For the first seven months of 2026 (January to July), China exported a cumulative total of 6.399 million vehicles. This represents a 53.7% increase compared to the first seven months of 2025. The total export value for this period reached $110.78 billion, up 54.9% year-on-year.

In contrast, China's vehicle imports saw a decline in July 2026. The number of imported vehicles was 43,000 units, a decrease of 12.8% compared to July 2025. The import value for the month was $2.12 billion, down 15.5% year-on-year.
