Chinese Leadership Outlines Strategy for Financial Sector Expansion
President Xi Jinping has detailed a national framework aimed at transforming China’s financial capacity to support modernization and global influence.

The Chinese government has unveiled a comprehensive strategy to bolster the nation's financial strength, positioning it as a core component of its broader modernization efforts. President Xi Jinping stated that the country aims to translate its composite national power into greater financial capacity, focusing on six pillars including a strong central bank, stable currency, and effective market supervision.
The outlined vision includes efforts to exert more influence over international financial rules and enhance the global status of the Chinese currency. By focusing on systemic risk prevention and the establishment of a sound legal framework, the leadership intends to create a more resilient financial infrastructure.
The strategy is governed by eight principles, with centralized, unified leadership from the party cited as the primary political guarantee. Other tenets include ensuring the financial sector serves the real economy and managing the balance between financial openness and national security.
