Chivas Regal Launches The Icon Whisky
Pernod Ricard introduces Chivas Regal The Icon, an ultra-prestige Scotch whisky. The blend incorporates some of the oldest and rarest whiskies available to Chivas Regal, including from now-defunct distilleries.

Pernod Ricard has launched Chivas Regal The Icon, positioning it as a new symbol of luxury whisky. The blend is composed of some of the oldest and rarest whiskies in the Chivas Regal portfolio, with a proportion derived from distilleries that are no longer in operation.
The whisky is described as having exceptional character and a long, luscious finish, featuring notes of honey, vanilla, and dark chocolate, balanced by subtle hazelnut undertones from the cask. Master Blender Colin Scott is credited with combining traditional craftsmanship with expertise in its creation.
Chivas Regal The Icon is presented in a hand-blown crystal decanter crafted by Dartington Crystal. The glass bottle features delicate etching and metalwork, with its green hue referencing the original Chivas Regal bottle from 1909. The stopper is a luckenbooth, a traditional Celtic symbol for love.
The whisky was first launched exclusively at Dubai Duty Free in May 2015, followed by a global release in September 2015. With 40% ABV and 70cl bottles, the recommended retail price is $3,675 USD for the domestic market and $3,500 USD for travel retail.
