Choso Electric Introduces Automatic Heat Aerosol Fire Extinguisher

Choso Electric Group Co., Ltd. has launched a new automatic heat aerosol fire extinguishing device, the QRR0.02G, designed for the protection of electrical systems. This device aims to provide fast fire suppression capabilities for environments such as electrical cabinets, panels, and electric vehicle charging stations where fire risks are elevated.

The QRR0.02G unit reportedly extinguishes fires within 15 seconds. Its operation involves the release of a heat-activated aerosol that suffocates flames and prevents fire propagation. The compact design of the device allows for installation in confined spaces, including electrical switchgear and control panels.

Choso Electric, previously known for products including surge protection devices and automatic transfer switches, is expanding its offerings into fire safety technology. The company states that the QRR0.02G offers an efficient and automatic solution for combating electrical fires, thereby minimizing material damage and safety hazards.

Investment in fire suppression technology is significant in sectors with continuous and critical use of electrical equipment. The expanding infrastructure for electric vehicle charging, in particular, presents new fire safety challenges, a need that Choso Electric's new device intends to address.
