Christian Kohnert Appointed Hotel Manager at Premier Inn Leipzig City Oper

Premier Inn has named Christian Kohnert as the Hotel Manager for its new Premier Inn Leipzig City Oper property. The 182-room hotel is set to open in early October 2020, and Kohnert will lead its pre-opening phase and ongoing management.

Kohnert, 37, joins Premier Inn from Designhotel Charly's Leipzig, where he also managed the pre-opening and launch phases. His previous experience includes roles at online marketing firm myhotelshop GmbH, Hotel Fürstenhof Leipzig, and positions with Le Méridien, St. Regis, and Sheraton. He is a trained hotel specialist.

Commenting on his appointment, Kohnert stated his admiration for Premier Inn's company philosophy, calling it an ideal employer for talent development and idea implementation. He also emphasized the opportunity for leading his team collaboratively.

Having lived in Leipzig for approximately ten years, Kohnert brings a significant regional network to his new role. He looks forward to building his team and establishing the Premier Inn Leipzig City Oper as a recognized brand across Germany by working with staff who embody the company's spirit.
