Christina Qi's Databento Secures Nvidia and OpenAI as Clients
Christina Qi, who previously ran a successful hedge fund at MIT, now leads Databento, a market data provider. The company serves clients like Nvidia and OpenAI.

Christina Qi, founder and CEO of Databento, has established the company as a key provider of market data for financial and AI researchers. Databento's client roster includes major technology firms such as Nvidia and OpenAI.
Qi previously founded Domeyard, a hedge fund at MIT that traded billions daily. After a challenging year in 2020, Domeyard ceased operations, leading Qi to establish Databento.
The data provider recently raised $97 million in a Series B funding round, contributing to its substantial funding. Databento reports eight-figure annual recurring revenue, a figure Qi attributes partly to the competitive landscape.
Operating remotely from Utah, Qi has navigated the male-dominated finance industry. Her entrepreneurial journey, starting from a low-income background, has led to the creation of a significant technology venture.
