Philadelphia, PA – Christini AWD Bikes, a manufacturer of mechanical all-wheel-drive bicycles, has launched a redesigned website and expanded its offering of American-made AWD bikes and e-bikes, including new models for hunting and trail riding. The move comes as the e-bike industry grapples with fluctuating import tariffs.
The company states that its U.S.-made bikes are largely insulated from the price volatility caused by import duties on Chinese-made e-bikes, which have significantly impacted the industry. With tariffs on Chinese e-bikes reaching as high as 84% in 2025 before settling around 45% in 2026, Christini's domestic manufacturing in Philadelphia provides a competitive advantage.
Christini has produced its bikes entirely in-house for over 25 years. Its patented mechanical AWD system, developed in 1995, engages automatically when the rear wheel loses traction, without draining battery power or requiring additional electronics. This system adds only approximately 2.3 pounds to the bike's weight.
The new website emphasizes the company's focus on American-built durability, factory-direct service, and performance, rather than solely on the AWD technology. The expanded lineup includes various mountain bikes, fat tire bikes, and the new AWD Fat E-5 Split Rail electric hunting bike, priced at $5,895 and featuring a Bafang M560 motor.
Christini has supplied bikes to the U.S. military since 2011 and offers a 5-year warranty on frames and a 2-year warranty on the AWD system. Orders can be placed directly through the company's website.
