Christopher Boehringer Steps Down from TORM Board
Christopher Boehringer has resigned from the Board of Directors of TORM plc with immediate effect. The change follows Oaktree Capital Management and its affiliates no longer holding an ownership interest in the company.
TORM plc, a prominent international product tanker company, has announced a change to its Board of Directors. Christopher Boehringer has stepped down from his position as a board member, effective immediately.
The departure comes as Oaktree Capital Management and its affiliates have ceased to hold an ownership interest in TORM. Boehringer joined the company's board in 2015 and has been a director during a significant period of transformation and growth for the shipping firm.
Simon Mackenzie Smith, Chair of TORM, expressed the board's gratitude for Boehringer's service and contributions. "His deep industry knowledge, sound judgment, and unwavering commitment have helped shape TORM into the company it is today," Smith stated.
Boehringer himself commented on his tenure, calling it a privilege to have served TORM through numerous transformative events and business cycles. He highlighted the success of the "One TORM" platform as a collaborative effort from associates, management, and the board.
Following Boehringer's resignation, the TORM plc Board of Directors consists of five members: Chair Simon Mackenzie Smith, Annette Malm Justad, Göran Trapp, Jann Brown, and Jacob Meldgaard. TORM, founded in 1889, operates a fleet of product tanker vessels globally.
