CHS Association Convenes Leaders in Nashville to Discuss Future of Connected Care

The Connected Health & Safety Association (CHS) concluded its 2026 Annual Conference in Nashville on September 25, 2026. The event brought together over 250 leaders from healthcare, technology, senior living, caregiving, and remote monitoring sectors to explore the future of connected care and independent living.

The conference capped a year of significant growth for CHS, with membership increasing by 55%. The organization represents a broader ecosystem of connected health and safety technologies. New members include companies such as Teladoc Health, Wellthy, and Intuition Robotics, reflecting the increasing convergence of healthcare, artificial intelligence, remote monitoring, and safety technology.

CHS President Geoff Gross emphasized the conference's importance. "This was an important year for CHS and for the industry we represent," Gross stated. "We are bringing together companies that share a common mission of using technology, services, and human connection to help people live safer, healthier, and more independent lives." Keynote speaker Paul Keckley addressed the forces reshaping healthcare and the growing role of technology in home-based care. Discussions during the conference focused on home-based care, AI, caregiver support, and remote monitoring. Referencing the industry's expansion, CHS announced it will celebrate its 20th anniversary at its 2027 Annual Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, October 13–15, 2027.

Highlights of the conference included the Connected Health & Safety Awards Gala. Senator Bill Frist received a Lifetime Achievement Award, while Nick Stengle, CEO of Brookdale Senior Living, was honored with the Champion for Aging Award. Tenovi was named Company of the Year, and Cognitive Systems received the Innovator of the Year award.
