CIMA launches CGMA Week 2026 to highlight financial management professionals
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has kicked off CGMA Week 2026, a global initiative focused on the role of finance and accounting professionals in navigating modern business complexities.

Taking place from November 2 to 8, 2026, the event is themed "CGMA: Ready for What's Next." It seeks to recognize the contributions of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) professionals in helping organizations manage risks, implement new technologies like artificial intelligence, and sustain long-term performance.
Alfred Ramosedi, president of CIMA and co-chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, stated that the initiative showcases the adaptability and strategic leadership required in the modern financial sector. Participants from over 150 countries are encouraged to share their professional journeys and career aspirations on the organization's digital "CGMA Week Wall."
The campaign serves as a platform for industry members to reflect on their achievements and future industry outlooks. CIMA intends for this initiative to reinforce its commitment to advancing the finance and accounting profession globally while highlighting the human expertise behind corporate decision-making.
