CIMC Group recorded a net profit of 1.28 billion yuan for the six months ending June 30, 2025, marking a 47.6 percent year-on-year increase. The growth occurred despite a 3.8 percent decline in overall revenue, which totaled 76.1 billion yuan for the period.

The results were driven by a significant performance improvement in the company's energy-related business units, including offshore engineering and energy chemical equipment. Simultaneously, the group’s debt optimization strategy, involving the replacement of high-interest floating-rate debt, reduced net interest expenses by 310 million yuan. By mid-year, the company’s interest-bearing debt had been reduced to 41.2 billion yuan.

The logistics division remained a primary revenue driver, with the sale of 1.13 million standard dry containers and a doubling of refrigerated container sales. While the road transportation business saw a decline, the overall container manufacturing segment maintained a strong market position.

Cash flow saw a substantial improvement during the period, with net operating cash flows reaching 7.15 billion yuan. Management noted that the group's diversified portfolio helped mitigate the impact of global trade fluctuations and tariff pressures throughout the first half of the year.
