CIQ, the commercial sponsor of Rocky Linux, has introduced significant enhancements to its Ascender Pro automation platform. The updates aim to close the loop between detecting and remediating infrastructure problems across Enterprise Linux environments, automating the delivery of fixes to the correct systems without manual intervention.

The Ascender Reaqt component monitors systems and addresses issues the moment they arise. Ascender Registry provides teams with control over collections and containers, enabling automation across diverse environments. Federated Inventories feature streamlines job routing to the appropriate systems by consolidating existing inventories.

Additionally, CIQ is open-sourcing Ascender Galaxy Proxy, a component designed to improve caching speeds for the Ansible community. This feature can reduce response times by 75-80%, which is crucial for CI/CD pipelines and project synchronizations.

"Enterprises running Linux at scale have been stuck choosing between an automation platform that does everything and one they can actually own and trust. That's the problem we set out to solve with this release," said Gregory Kurtzer, CEO and founder of CIQ and founder of Rocky Linux. "Ascender Pro gives operations teams a way to detect a problem, control what's running in their environment, and get the fix to exactly the right host, automatically."
