Circular has announced its new Ring 3 series of smart rings, following up on the previous Ring 2 model. The latest iteration introduces integrated NFC for contactless payments and vibrating alerts for various functions, including alarms and medication reminders.
The Ring 3 collection comprises two models: the Pro, which carries forward advanced health-tracking features such as FDA-cleared atrial fibrillation detection, and the Slim, offering more limited stats tracking. Both models, however, now include the new payment and alert functionalities.
Users can now make contactless payments directly from their ring, eliminating the need to carry a phone or wallet. The vibrating alerts are also designed to assist with guided breathing exercises and medication reminders, enhancing the device's utility in daily life.
The Ring 3 Pro model features a slimmer design compared to its predecessor. Circular aims to improve the user experience and integrate the device more seamlessly into users' digital lives with these updated capabilities.
