Cision reports third-quarter revenue growth amid earnings pressure
Cision recorded net sales of MSEK 3,397 for the third quarter of 2026, while one-off items significantly impacted the reported operating profit.
Cision posted net sales of 3,397 million Swedish krona (MSEK) for the third quarter of 2026, marking a 3 percent increase year-over-year. When adjusted for currency fluctuations, the company’s sales growth stood at 2 percent.
Despite top-line growth, the company’s operating profit experienced a sharp decline, falling to MSEK 6 from MSEK 220 in the same period last year. This resulted in an operating margin of 0.2 percent, down from 6.7 percent in the third quarter of 2025.
The decline in operating profit was largely driven by non-recurring items. When excluding these costs, the company’s underlying performance was more stable, with an EBITDA of MSEK 376 and an EBITA of MSEK 266. These figures suggest that while one-off expenses impacted the bottom line, the core service operations remain at similar levels to the previous year.
