City of Irvine Launches Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The City of Irvine has opened a new, approximately 25,000-square-foot Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to connect entrepreneurs, capital, talent, and partners to strengthen the region's ecosystem and drive economic growth.

IRVINE, Calif. โ July 16, 2026 โ The City of Irvine has officially launched the Irvine Center of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, an initiative designed to strengthen the region's innovation ecosystem and drive economic growth. The approximately 25,000-square-foot center is located at 510 Technology Drive, within Irvine's Healthcare Corridor.
The center will provide office and lab coworking spaces with integrated services, aiming to bring together entrepreneurs, startups, investors, business resource organizations, and strategic partners. This aims to assist innovators in starting, growing, and scaling their businesses.
The project is described as one of the first of its kind in the region, where a municipal government is leading innovation ecosystem development in partnership with private donations, federal funding, and regional business organizations. The center seeks to create a unified hub connecting resources, capital, and talent, while supporting the city's Economic Development Blueprint, a long-term strategy to increase high-wage jobs, entrepreneurship, and innovation in Irvine.
"The Irvine Center of Innovation & Entrepreneurship represents an intentional, generational investment in our city's future," said Mayor Larry Agran. "By investing in the people, partnerships, and ideas that drive innovation, we are creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs, strengthening our economy, and helping to position Irvine for continued leadership in ingenuity and economic development."
The center is expected to open in the second quarter of 2027. Construction and tenant improvement work is anticipated to begin in Fall 2027.
