Claire Konz transitioned from AutoCAD to CET for workflow transformation

Supply chain consultant Claire Konz has been highlighted for her transition from traditional AutoCAD software to Configura's CET platform. Working at Miebach, Konz has leveraged CET for concept design of warehouses and processing centers, utilizing its 3D visualization capabilities to enhance client understanding and decision-making.

The shift was driven by a need for a faster, more visual design process. Konz found CET to be more intuitive than AutoCAD, which often requires supplementary notes or separate views for clarity on details like elevation or capacity. CET's ability to build directly in 3D provides immediate understanding of elements such as how many pallets a racking bay can hold or the space components require.

A standout feature for Konz is CET's Material Handling Library, which includes integrated, real-world specifications for equipment. This significantly saves time, eliminating the need for designers to manually input dimensions or search for product details. In a major project, CET facilitated the creation of a fully visualized 3D model of a new warehouse, helping the client grasp the efficiencies of automation and secure the project.

Konz encourages others hesitant about switching to explore CET through demos. She emphasizes that the software is designed for rapid, visual decision-making, reducing frustration and saving time compared to traditional methods. The transition from AutoCAD to CET offers considerably more deliverables, such as 3D models and clearer visualizations, with a similar effort.
