Class action lawsuit filed against Inn Ventures and IVI Hotel Management over meal and rest breaks

Zakay Law Group, APLC, a labor and employment law firm, has filed a class action lawsuit against Inn Ventures IVI LP, IVI Hotel Management of Washington, Inc., and IVI Hotel Management of California, Inc. The suit, pending in San Diego County Superior Court, alleges the companies violated California Labor Code sections related to meal and rest breaks.

The lawsuit claims that Inn Ventures and IVI Hotel Management failed to provide employees with their legally mandated meal and rest periods. According to the complaint, employees were allegedly required to perform work tasks during their meal breaks, often without being fully relieved of duty. The suit also alleges that employees working shifts of ten hours or more were not provided with a required second meal break.

In addition to break violations, the complaint also alleges failures in minimum wage payments, overtime compensation, provision of accurate wage statements, reimbursement for business expenses, and timely payment of wages. Zakay Law Group states that the company's policies and practices allegedly caused employees to forgo meal breaks without additional compensation.

The class action seeks damages for all employees who were allegedly affected by these violations. Zakay Law Group, APLC specializes in representing employees in wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and other employment-related matters.
