Clean Motion has completed the integration of battery swap technology into its solar-charged electric vehicle, EVIG, following a year of development work. The company is now delivering these vehicles to Stockholm Local Transition (STOLT), where the solution will be validated under real urban operating conditions with delivery company Foodora.

The project aims to demonstrate how shared battery infrastructure can support a variety of electric vehicles, from electric mopeds to small electric transport vehicles. The intention is to accelerate the transition to zero-emission city centers.

Clean Motion is collaborating with the City of Stockholm, Lund University, GoCimo, and Foodora on this initiative. The focus is on proving the viability of shared charging solutions for urban logistics.

This validation phase is crucial for assessing the efficiency and scalability of the battery swap system in a practical, high-usage environment, supporting the wider goal of cleaner urban transportation.
