Cleanstar National Completes 72-Hour Medical Facility Post-Construction Turnover

Cleanstar National successfully completed the post-construction cleaning and preparation of a 100,000 sq. ft. medical facility in Metro Atlanta within a critical 72-hour timeframe. This rapid turnaround ensured the facility secured its Certificate of Occupancy upon the first inspection, thereby avoiding substantial liquidated damages for the developer.

The primary challenge involved a severely compressed timeline due to upstream construction delays. The general contractor required the facility to be inspection-ready within 72 hours. The site was laden with construction dust, silica, and debris, and the newly installed VCT flooring needed a comprehensive stripping and waxing process before medical equipment could be moved in.

Cleanstar National deployed a strike team of 35 W2 employees, working in synchronized 12-hour shifts. The process included a rough clean with HEPA dust extraction, detailed architectural finishing, and a multi-coat application of medical-grade floor finish on 60,000 sq. ft. of VCT flooring. A final detailing crew performed a last-minute sweep to eliminate any settled dust before the inspectors arrived.

As a result, the facility passed its cleanliness and safety inspections on the first walkthrough, allowing the general contractor to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy on schedule. Cleanstar National's ability to mobilize a large, trained workforce for rapid deployment was key to meeting the demanding deadline and preventing financial penalties.
