Austin, Texas – Medical technology company ClearCam, Inc. announced it has been selected by AFWERX for a $74,360 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract. The funding will support the advancement of ClearScope IQ™, ClearCam's artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled surgical visualization technology, with a focus on applications for the U.S. Air Force.

The ClearScope IQ™ platform integrates proprietary AI visualization software with a mechanical lens cleaner, aiming to ensure a consistently clear view during minimally invasive surgery. The company states that maintaining clear visualization is essential for surgical success and patient safety.

Through the AFWERX initiative, designed to accelerate innovation for the Department of the Air Force, ClearCam seeks to explore how its technology can support military medicine and enhance surgical readiness.
