Cleartrip's FY26 Net Loss Widens 28% to ₹805 Crore
Flipkart-owned travel platform Cleartrip reported a 28.1% year-over-year increase in net loss for FY26, reaching ₹805 crore, as expenses outpaced revenue growth.

Flipkart-owned travel platform Cleartrip's net loss widened by 28.1% year-over-year to ₹805 crore (approximately $96.7 million) in the fiscal year 2026, up from ₹628.4 crore in FY25. The increase in losses occurred as the company's expenses continued to grow faster than its revenue.
The online travel aggregator's operating revenue rose by 20.8% to ₹198.3 crore during the fiscal year, compared to ₹164.1 crore in the previous year. Including other income, Cleartrip's total income stood at approximately ₹241.3 crore, a decrease from ₹366.7 crore reported in FY25. Other income saw a significant decline of 34.2% year-over-year, amounting to ₹43 crore.
Meanwhile, spending on cashbacks and discounts surged by 47.5% to ₹897.5 crore in FY26 from ₹608.2 crore in FY25. This increase in promotional spending outpaced the growth in the company's top line. The company's total expenses increased by 21.9% to ₹1,045.9 crore in FY26 from ₹858.2 crore in FY25, indicating an expenditure of ₹5.27 for every rupee earned from operations.
Cleartrip is reportedly aiming to reduce its reliance on discounts and diversify its offerings beyond flight bookings, with a target of achieving operational break-even by the end of FY27. The company plans to expand its hotel, train, and bus booking segments, alongside increasing revenue from ancillary services. Cleartrip was acquired by e-commerce giant Flipkart in 2021.
