Clearwave joins MEDITECH Alliance to integrate patient engagement software
Clearwave has joined the MEDITECH Alliance as an Accelerator Partner, enabling automated patient intake and data syncing within the Expanse EHR platform.
Clearwave, a provider of AI-driven patient engagement platforms, has become an Accelerator Partner in the MEDITECH Alliance. The partnership formalizes long-standing technical integrations between Clearwave’s software and the MEDITECH Expanse electronic health record (EHR) system.
The integration allows hospitals to automate front-desk tasks, including patient pre-registration, real-time insurance eligibility verification, co-pay collections, and clinical intake. By feeding this data directly into the Expanse system, health systems aim to reduce manual entry errors and administrative workloads.
Case studies, such as the deployment at Holyoke Medical Center, indicate that such automated workflows can significantly improve patient check-in times and revenue collection rates. Clearwave CEO Mike Coffey stated that the partnership is intended to help hospitals address capacity challenges by automating high-volume administrative tasks, allowing staff to focus on direct patient care.
