Clipart Studio launches web-based collage creation tool
Designer Sami Smith has released Clipart Studio, a browser-based application that mimics the process of creating physical magazine collages using archival content.

Clipart Studio allows users to browse through vintage magazines via the Internet Archive, virtually clip images, and arrange them into digital collages. The platform also integrates images from Wikimedia Commons and allows users to upload their own personal files for use in their compositions.
Developed by designer Sami Smith, the tool operates directly within any web browser, removing the need for software installations. Smith, known for experimental retro-tech projects, has focused on a minimalist interface that emphasizes ease of use.
Privacy remains a key feature, as creations are stored locally within the user's browser by default. Users retain the option to publish their work to a public gallery. The tool is free to use and does not incorporate advertising.
