QINGDAO CO-NELE MACHINERY CO., LTD. has introduced an integrated mixer granulator aimed at addressing long-standing challenges in powder metallurgy, specifically concerning the granulation of metal powders.

Granulation is identified as a crucial step in powder metallurgy, directly impacting final product quality and production efficiency. Traditional granulation processes have been hampered by complex equipment setups, low productivity, inconsistent particle sizes, and frequent blockages, hindering large-scale production.

The newly launched CO-NELE integrated granulator utilizes 3D turbulent granulation technology. It combines feeding, mixing, binding, and granulation into a single process within one unit, eliminating the need for multiple separate machines like mixers and extruders. The company states this reduces equipment procurement costs, floor space requirements, and material loss during transfers.

Designed to handle various metal powders such as iron, copper, titanium, and nickel-based superalloys, the equipment allows for adjustable particle sizes. The resulting granules are reported to have uniform distribution, high compactness, and good fluidity, meeting the standards for high-precision powder metallurgy products. Optional heating, cooling, and vacuum functions are available for process optimization.

CO-NELE aims to streamline production and improve cost-effectiveness for powder metallurgy manufacturers. The company asserts that the integrated granulator avoids screen clogging and unplanned downtime issues commonly associated with traditional extrusion granulators.
