CodeBoxx introduces on-premises AI software factory

CodeBoxx Technology has begun taking orders for CrewKit Forge, a one-meter-cube appliance designed to handle AI-powered software development on-site. By housing compute, storage, and networking internally, the system enables companies to perform coding, testing, and documentation without relying solely on cloud-based AI infrastructure.

The hardware includes a 96-core processor, 1 TB of RAM, and 12.8 TB of storage. It is intended to function as an autonomous data center, capable of managing tasks ranging from product design to cybersecurity monitoring. CodeBoxx claims the device can handle the equivalent workload of up to 20 developers in parallel, providing a local alternative to per-token subscription models used by frontier AI services.

CEO Nicolas Genest stated that the primary objective is to provide companies with greater governance over their software production and data privacy. The device also includes an optional quantum computing gateway, allowing development teams to simulate quantum algorithms in preparation for future hardware transitions.

Service is currently available in the United States and Canada, with installations including a three-year service plan and staff onboarding through the company's training division.
