Cogitate Marks Two Years of CAIRA, Advancing Embedded AI in Insurance

Cogitate, a provider of AI-powered core insurance technology, is marking the two-year anniversary of CAIRA, its embedded AI intelligence within the Digital Edge Insurance Platform. CAIRA has evolved significantly to enhance the entire insurance lifecycle.

Introduced two years ago, CAIRA was built on the principle of using AI to amplify insurance expertise, not replace it. Today, CAIRA functions as a unified intelligence layer across the Digital Edge platform, embedding AI agents throughout policy and claims workflows. This aims to reduce manual friction, provide contextual insights, and support faster, more informed decisions, while keeping insurance professionals in control.

Over the past two years, Cogitate has expanded CAIRA with purpose-built AI agents that address specific points of friction across the insurance lifecycle. Within underwriting, these agents can read and extract risk information from submissions, validate data, assess appetite, support quoting and issuance, and analyze portfolio data. In claims processing, CAIRA's capabilities span initial intake, fraud detection, coverage review, and the analysis of attorney demand packages.
