The Colorado Chamber of Commerce has announced the opening of nominations for its fifth annual "Coolest Thing Made in Colorado" competition. This community-driven contest seeks to showcase the diverse manufacturing sector within the state, encouraging submissions for products manufactured in Colorado.
Nominations will be accepted until noon on July 29, 2026. A panel of independent judges will select the top ten finalists in October. These finalists will be recognized at the Colorado Chamber's "Coolest Thing Awards Banquet" on November 12, where the 2026 winner will be announced.
Sponsored by PNC Bank, the contest aims to highlight the innovation and economic impact of Colorado's manufacturing firms. Last year's winner was FarmBox Foods' Vertical Hydroponic Farm, a product utilizing vertical farming technology within upcycled shipping containers.
The manufacturing industry in Colorado contributes over $31 billion to the state's economy and employs more than 149,000 individuals. Companies and the public alike are encouraged to submit nominations for eligible products made in Colorado.
