Chinese technology firm Colorful has launched a new iGame Shadow II series DDR5 desktop memory module that incorporates domestically produced memory chips. The module operates at a speed of 6000 MT/s with timings of CL30-38-38. The 32GB (2x16GB) dual-channel kit is priced at 3999 Chinese yuan.

The new memory module signifies a move towards reducing reliance on foreign semiconductor components. As a DDR5 module, it features on-die ECC (Error Correction Code) to enhance data integrity and system stability during high-frequency operation. It utilizes a 10-layer PCB design and supports both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO for automatic overclocking profiles.

Visually, the memory module sports a design inspired by Chinese aesthetics, with the character "Shadow" (影) inscribed on its heatsink. The cooling solution includes an acrylic light diffuser, a robust metal heatsink, and dedicated thermal pads. The RGB lighting is compatible with mainstream motherboard synchronization software and can be customized through the iGame Center application.

The new CL30 version is priced at 3999 yuan, compared to the previously released CL36 version at 3499 yuan. This launch highlights efforts within China to bolster its domestic semiconductor industry and supply chain capabilities.
