Colorful Launches New Motherboard for AMD X870E Chipset
Colorful has released the iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14 motherboard, built on the AMD X870E chipset. The board targets demanding users with its robust power delivery and support for high memory speeds.
Chinese technology firm Colorful has introduced its new iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14 motherboard, based on the AMD X870E chipset. This ATX-form-factor board is designed for high-performance computing, featuring substantial power delivery and extensive expansion capabilities.
The motherboard is equipped with a 16+2+1 phase 80A DrMOS power delivery system and supports dual EPS 8-Pin CPU power connectors. It utilizes an 8-layer low-loss PCB for signal integrity and incorporates high-quality components such as FCC ferrite chokes and 10K capacitors. The hardware also supports quick-release M.2 SSD slots and includes an onboard clock generator.
In terms of expandability, the board offers two PCIe slots, which can be configured to accommodate up to five M.2 SSDs. Additionally, it provides four SATA III ports. Networking is handled by a Realtek RTL8126-CG 5GbE LAN controller and a MediaTek MT7925 Wi-Fi 7 wireless module. The motherboard also features two USB-C 40Gbps ports and diagnostic tools like an 80 Debug display and EZ Debug LED indicators.
Colorful states that the iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14 supports DDR5 memory overclocking up to 8400 MT/s. The company recently demonstrated a successful test case, pushing 4 x 48GB DDR5 memory modules to 6600 CL28 timings on this motherboard.
