Colorful Motherboard Achieves 9000 MT/s With Domestic DDR5 Memory Overclock
Chinese technology firm Colorful has set a new overclocking record for domestic DDR5 memory. The company's X870E White Vulcan OC motherboard enabled stable testing at 9000 MT/s.

Chinese technology firm Colorful announced a new overclocking record for domestically produced DDR5 memory. Using its X870E White Vulcan OC motherboard paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, the company successfully overclocked domestic iGame Shadow II memory modules to 9000 MT/s, achieving stable test results.
This achievement follows a series of incremental records set by Colorful in the preceding month. On July 11, the company first reached 8600 MT/s with Changxin Memory's DDR5 particles, and by August 6, the record had been pushed to 8800 MT/s for both 16GBx2 and 24GBx2 configurations.
Colorful stated that the iGame Shadow II memory is optimized for EXPO at 6000 MT/s with C30 latency. Stability tests reportedly show performance comparable to leading international products in read, write, copy speeds, and memory latency. This milestone challenges the perception that low-latency DDR5 memory requires overseas components.
The X870E motherboard features a 10-layer server-grade PCB with gold immersion and back-drilling processes for optimized memory trace layout. It also includes a clock generator, dual BIOS, dedicated overclocking buttons, and a robust 18+2+2 phase 110A power delivery system.
