Colorful X870E Motherboard Achieves 8600MT/s DDR5 Overclock With Domestic Chips
Chinese manufacturer Colorful announced it achieved an 8600MT/s data transfer rate using DDR5 memory modules based on domestic DRAM chips on its iGame X870E VULCAN W OC V14 motherboard.

Chinese technology firm Colorful has announced a significant overclocking achievement. The company's iGame X870E VULCAN W OC V14 motherboard, paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, successfully reached a data transfer rate of 8600 megatransfers per second (MT/s) using iGame Shadow II memory modules built with domestic DRAM chips.
This accomplishment highlights the advancement of Chinese-made components in memory technology. The iGame X870E VULCAN W OC V14 motherboard, which debuted at Computex, utilizes advanced manufacturing techniques such as immersion gold plating and back drilling.
The memory modules are reportedly specified at 6000MT/s CL34, likely as a 2x16GB kit. This technical demonstration of domestic chips and successful overclocking occurs amidst increasing competition, with other manufacturers like ASUS, Lexar, and MSI recently showcasing their own DDR5 memory and achieving high frequencies across various platforms.
Colorful's announcement underscores the push for domestically produced technological solutions to compete in the global market. Advances in DDR5 memory speed and reliability are key to the ongoing development of computer component performance.
