Com4 adopts Nokia 5G Standalone Core for global IoT expansion
Norway-based Com4 has selected Nokia’s 5G Standalone Core platform to support its global IoT service architecture and handle rising connectivity demand.

Wireless Logic Group subsidiary Com4 is deploying Nokia’s 5G Standalone (SA) Core to modernize its network infrastructure. The transition aims to address the requirements of enterprise customers in sectors including energy, logistics, and healthcare, which increasingly demand secure, high-bandwidth, and low-latency connectivity.
Nokia’s core solution integrates legacy radio access technologies, ranging from 2G to 5G, while providing support for satellite broadband and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). The platform is built on a cloud-native architecture using Red Hat OpenShift, allowing for the automation of B2B services through API support and advanced edge gateway deployment.
Martin Nord, CTO and CPO at Com4, noted that the core architecture allows for more precise device-level customization and centralized management of international deployments. For Nokia, the partnership underscores the industry shift where IoT providers seek scalable, cost-effective core solutions to manage high-volume device onboarding.
