Command-line tool removes Apple Intelligence from macOS 27
A new tool allows macOS 27 users to disable Apple Intelligence features with a single command. The utility frees up to 12GB of storage space.

Mac users can now easily disable Apple Intelligence features in macOS 27 using a new command-line tool. The tool, named RemoveMacAI and developed by Om Lahore on GitHub, allows users to switch off the features with one command and is fully reversible.
Unlike previous versions of macOS, macOS 27 lacks a direct toggle for disabling Apple Intelligence. This makes it more difficult for users who do not wish to use the AI features or want to free up disk space. The initial Apple Intelligence models occupy approximately 12GB, but can actually take up over 30GB of storage.
The RemoveMacAI tool offers a solution to this issue. It enables the removal of the AI models, thereby freeing up significant disk space for users who do not utilize the functionality. The developer emphasizes that the tool is completely reversible, increasing user confidence in its safety.
The tool was released to address the situation where Apple does not provide a simple method for disabling AI features. Users can now better manage their devices' storage space and privacy.
