Community Catalyst, a health advocacy organization, announced the continuation of its work on behalf of individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid insurance. Ongoing support from Arnold Ventures will fund these efforts over the next year.

The organization aims to build a bipartisan group of congressional champions for reform while also educating federal administrators on improving the integration and oversight of these programs. The initiative seeks to help policymakers understand the connections between cost containment, accountability, and equity for dual-eligible individuals.

"We are excited to continue our longstanding partnership with Arnold Ventures in service of improving the lives and care for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities," said Linda Goler Blount, MPH, President and CEO of Community Catalyst. "We have made significant strides in elevating the stories of people who are dually eligible and helping communities lift up actionable policy solutions."

Past collaborations between Community Catalyst and Arnold Ventures have focused on research, community engagement, and storytelling to advance person-centered care, highlight beneficiary experiences, and inform solutions for integrated care and home and community-based services.

Nearly 14 million people in the U.S. are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. This population often consists of older adults and individuals with disabilities living on low incomes and managing multiple chronic conditions.
