Companies create new graduate roles centered on AI management

Organizations are increasingly establishing dedicated AI roles for recent university graduates, moving away from traditional entry-level administrative work. These positions task junior employees with the development and management of AI agents to optimize internal operations and client-facing services.

At companies such as PR agency Fight or Flight and engineering firm Stride, graduates are now responsible for building internal chatbots, conducting market research via AI tools, and identifying manual processes suitable for automation. This shift is intended to allow junior hires to contribute to strategic goals and organizational development significantly earlier than in previous hiring models.

Research from PwC indicates that entry-level roles influenced by AI are increasingly requiring senior-level skills, including strategic decision-making and team leadership. As companies adapt to these technological changes, leaders suggest that these roles provide graduates with more meaningful responsibilities and deeper organizational integration, effectively elevating the standard expectations for early-career professionals.
