Compugen Presents New Colorectal Cancer Data at ASCO 2024
Compugen presented preliminary clinical data at ASCO 2024 on a triple combination therapy involving COM701, COM902, and pembrolizumab in patients with microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer and liver metastases.

Compugen has presented preliminary clinical results at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2024 annual meeting, focusing on the efficacy of its triple combination therapy.
The treatment combines COM701, a therapy targeting the PVRIG protein, with the antibody COM902, which blocks TIGIT, along with pembrolizumab, a PD-1 inhibitor. The study specifically evaluated patients with microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer (MSS-CRC), particularly those with liver metastases who had previously received up to three lines of therapy.
Preliminary findings indicated that the combination therapy was well-tolerated, with a safety profile consistent with that of pembrolizumab and other similar agents. Exploratory analyses demonstrated antitumor activity, including a partial response in one patient and disease control in 40% of participants at the time of data cut-off. Furthermore, evidence of immune system activation was observed, supporting the therapy's potential effects in the notoriously treatment-resistant MSS-CRC population.
These results suggest COM701's potential to offer benefits for patients with this challenging form of cancer, where there is a significant unmet medical need. Compugen is continuing to investigate this combination therapy and other COM701-based treatments.
