Conditorei Weber Improves Ergonomics with Hovmand Lift

**Conditorei Weber, a traditional confectionery, has implemented a Hovmand A/S INOX 200 lifter to enhance production efficiency and improve working conditions. The initiative aims to reduce physical strain and prevent back injuries, particularly from handling heavy stirrer vessels weighing up to 100 kilograms.

The daily operations at the bakery, founded in 1979, often involve lifting and emptying these substantial vessels. A key process, transferring dough for curd balls to a deep-fry machine at a height of 1.3 to 1.4 meters, previously required two to three employees. This disrupted workflow and caused considerable physical exertion, leading to frequent back pain complaints.

Conditorei Weber sought a solution that was battery-powered and suitable for food production environments, avoiding the complications of compressed air cables. The Hovmand INOX 200, constructed from stainless steel with an IP 66 rating for splash water protection, met these requirements. The lifter enables a single employee to independently raise and transport the 100 kg vessels to the necessary working height.

Since integrating the INOX 200, the company has reported a significant decrease in sick days. The new lifting method has demonstrably improved workplace ergonomics, lessened employee strain, and streamlined production processes. An optional table attachment further allows for height-adjustable work surfaces on the pastry line for tasks like shaping and filling, directly placing items onto baking trays without undue bending.
