Configura and Jungheinrich Deepen Collaboration on Plant Design Solution
Software company Configura has been selected as a strategic partner by Jungheinrich AG. The collaboration will focus on developing design solutions for industrial logistics systems.
Swedish software firm Configura has entered a strategic partnership with German company Jungheinrich AG. Under the agreement, Configura will provide a central Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solution for Jungheinrich's warehouse and automation projects. The collaboration aims to establish an all-in-one plant design solution covering the entire process from initial planning and calculation to the creation of a bill of materials.
Dr. Florian Kuzmany, Head of Business Tools Sales Warehouse & Automation Projects at Jungheinrich, stated that Configura's selection is a central component of their CPQ strategy, encompassing not only fully automated intralogistics solutions but also various other products.
The partnership between Configura and Jungheinrich began in 2020 with a pilot project for configuring automated pallet racking systems. This expanded strategic collaboration will integrate additional racking systems and material handling components into Configura's CET Material Handling planning software. The solution is intended to offer Jungheinrich's sales department an efficient and intuitive tool for planning customer projects.
