Configura, a software company, has named Julia Singer, a project designer at Workplace Resource Group (WRG), its User of the Month. WRG is a Herman Miller dealership, and Singer uses Configura's CET Commercial Interiors software to streamline design processes and save time on projects.
Singer has been using the CET software for over two years, employing it for space planning, renderings, specifications, and gathering part numbers for orders. She particularly values the software's "blocks" feature, which speeds up the creation of floor plans and allows for rapid replication.
"CET has made designing more efficient because of its speed, and it’s great for specifying projects and making sure all the parts and part numbers are there. The intelligence of CET makes such a difference," Singer stated. She also notes that the software has helped standardize WRG's installation processes and reduce design errors.
Singer holds a bachelor's degree in interior design from Bowling Green University. She began her career in commercial furniture sales four years ago in New Mexico before relocating to Texas in 2018. She describes her favorite part of the design process as piecing everything together like a puzzle.
