Configura Releases Updates Enhancing Design Software Precision and Workflow

Configura has launched its August 2026 updates for its design software, CET and Spec. The new releases focus on enhancing precision, productivity, and project workflows, aiming to streamline daily tasks for users.

The CET update introduces new 3D snapping capabilities, allowing tools to directly attach to object edges and curves. Enhanced dimension controls and support for diameter dimensions are also included, facilitating the documentation and visual communication of designs. Users will also receive notifications for catalog updates affecting open drawings, helping to keep projects current.

Further workflow improvements include the return of an advanced filter for navigating large catalogs and updates to part tagging. For larger-scale projects, the Picture Frame size limit has been significantly expanded, now supporting environments and visualization workflows up to 500x500 meters.

Users in commercial interiors benefit from material management enhancements, including updates to Material Portal and Customer's Own Material (COM) workflows. Kitchen and bath users gain new realistic 3D worktop edge profiles and expanded joint alternatives. For material handling, new 'Trim Lines' and 'Stretch Lines' tools are introduced to expedite warehouse design. CollabPro features have been expanded to support larger collaborative projects.

A key new feature in Spec 9.0 Minor is the PowerPoint Export function. This enables users to generate presentation-ready content directly from Spec using customizable templates, reducing manual effort and streamlining customer deliverables.
