Configura's CET Software Aids Nomura Real Estate's Logistics Automation
Configura and Nomura Real Estate are creating a virtual environment for evaluating logistics automation equipment. The solution clarifies warehouse design and equipment selection processes.
Configura, a software provider, has partnered with Nomura Real Estate to enhance logistics automation. Utilizing Configura's CET Material Handling software, Nomura Real Estate has built a virtual demonstration environment for equipment from partner companies participating in its "Techrum" co-creation program.
The initiative aims to accelerate the selection and effectiveness verification of automation equipment and systems in logistics operations. The virtual environment also enables realistic modeling of the interiors of Nomura Real Estate's "Landport" logistics facilities, assisting potential tenants in visualizing warehouse spaces and considering the implementation of efficiency-boosting equipment.
The "Techrum" program, launched in April 2021, includes over 90 partner companies. The digital environment replicates the "Narashino PoC Hub" test center, featuring virtual models of its interior and existing equipment, such as OMRON's AMR robots and Sharp's multi-tier robot storage systems.
This setup allows partner companies to propose tailored warehouse solutions more quickly and clearly, leveraging CET Material Handling's visualization and design capabilities. Configura aims to drive digital transformation and streamline warehouse proposal activities through this collaboration.
