Congressman Ivey Honors TRX Systems and ACDi for Contributions to Defense and Maryland Manufacturing.

Frederick, Maryland – Congressman Glenn Ivey (MD-04) has presented TRX Systems and ACDi with a Congressional Citation recognizing their five-year collaboration in providing Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems to the U.S. Army. The award also highlights the companies' role in supporting advanced manufacturing within Maryland.

During a visit to ACDi's facility in Frederick, Congressman Ivey received an overview of TRX Systems' operations and observed the production of the DAPS GEN II system. This system is a key component of the U.S. Army's Program of Record for Dismounted Assured PNT and is manufactured by ACDi as a subcontractor to TRX Systems. Ivey expressed his appreciation for how the two Maryland-based companies are partnering to develop and produce critical technology for national defense.

"I was proud to visit ACDi and learn more about its partnership with TRX Systems," Ivey stated. "Beyond the innovative technology supporting our service members, I was encouraged to see both companies investing in Maryland talent by creating opportunities for local workers and University of Maryland graduates to build meaningful careers right here in our state."

TRX Systems specializes in military-grade PNT solutions designed to enhance warfighter safety and mission effectiveness in environments where GPS signals may be unavailable, inaccurate, or intentionally denied. The DAPS GEN II system recently entered full-rate production following Army approval in December 2024, underscoring its importance for soldiers operating in challenging conditions. The five-year partnership between TRX Systems and ACDi has significantly contributed to both national defense and Maryland's economic growth through advanced manufacturing.
