Consensus Launches Integrated AI and Demo Platform for Buyers
Following two acquisitions, Consensus has unveiled a new product strategy and brand, integrating self-guided exploration, AI conversations, and live demos into a single buying journey platform.
Software company Consensus announced its new product strategy and brand at DemoFest London. The company's updated platform combines self-guided product exploration, AI-powered customer conversations, and live demonstrations to cover the entire buying journey.
The launch follows two acquisitions by Consensus within six months. The new strategy aims to adapt to evolving buyer behaviors, where Gartner reports B2B buyers spend only 17% of their purchase journey with potential suppliers. Furthermore, 67% of buyers prefer a representative-free experience, while 45% are already using generative AI during their purchasing process.
Consensus CEO Doug Johnson stated that the traditional demo, once a singular event, is now part of a broader buyer experience. The new platform allows buyers to explore products at their own pace, engage in AI-driven conversations, and then transition to live demos with pre-established context. Each interaction is designed to build upon the last.
"Buyers explore on their own terms, AI keeps the conversation going when sales isn't in the room, and sellers show up to the live demo already knowing what matters," Johnson explained. The platform's new features include self-guided experiences, AI conversations for qualification and education, and autonomous demos.
Consensus, previously known for its demo automation and agentic GTM platforms, is aiming to reshape how companies present product value by integrating these various aspects of the buyer's interaction.
